Welcome to Career Technical Education (CTE) Digital Media at Central Coast New Tech High School. The CTE Digital Media pathway will provide entry level training in the Digital Media industry. Students will complete projects using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of software products that includes, but is not limited to, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere and Adobe InDesign. Keeping with the New Tech tradition, this class will strongly adhere to the Project Based Learning philosophy.

I am proud to announce, starting with the 2022-2023 school year, that our CCNTH Advanced Media Arts class will be dual enrolled with Cuesta College Art 255 - Foundation Of Digital Graphic Art. Successful students will earn 3 college credits for completion of this course.

Career Technical Education (CTE) provides students of all ages with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners. In total, about 12.5 million high school and college students are enrolled in CTE across the nation. CTE prepares these learners for the world of work by introducing them to workplace competencies, and makes academic content accessible to students by providing it in a hands-on context. In fact, the high school graduation rate for CTE concentrators is about 90% – 15 percentage points higher than the national average.
