New Tech Network

Central Coast New Tech High School is part of the New Tech Network, which is a global network of schools working to transform education and provide college and career readiness for all students.  As an exemplary school within the network, CCNTH was recognized as a demonstration site three years in a row, which only 3 other school in the United States have achieved.  To qualify as a demonstration site, a school must develop a clear set of student learning outcomes consistent with skills required to succeed in college, career or civic life. These include content mastery tied to state standards as well as work ethic/collaboration, critical thinking and oral and written communication. All courses must demonstrate rigorous and relevant Project-Based Learning (PBL) to amplify deeper learning while engaging students in the classroom. The deep integration and use of technology must be present in all classrooms. Finally, a school culture that establishes students at the center, built on trust, respect, and responsibility must be evident throughout the school.

New Tech Network also seeks to define the impact of its school in an annual School and Student Success Report. This endeavor highlights new and updated research, provides evidence about the NTN model and project-based learning, and showcases the power of Network schools, leaders, and teachers.  Please see the 2019 School and Student Success Report for more information on the impact of the New Tech Network approach to learning.

As a result of the shared vision for all New Tech Network schools, students across the network share the following statistics of success as a measurement of college and career readiness:
