Wednesday/Thursday, Mr. Schroter's Microbiology classes will be reliving the Mars Perseverance Landing via a watch party! (After a month of learning about all the cool microbiology that went into the creation of the rover /mission and the research it is preparing to do).
They plan to watch the rocket lift-off, watch actual footage of the rover landing during the 7 minutes of terror, listen to audio the rover has captured, look at images the rover has taken, and see what it has gotten up to since landing back in February!
Inspired by a competition that Mr. Schroter saw, the engineers of the Curiosity rover had (and bet those of the Perseverance had as well), he has put together a "Guess the Landing Site" Game! If you would like to participate, here is the link to the "game" on Desmos (Link). Follow the instructions on there and submit your guess to the form linked in the notes!
