CCNTH NEWS

Just a reminder that this Friday and next Tuesday are minimum days. School is out at 12:20.

 

Nipomo Theatre Company invites you to their first annual Qlassics on the Quad. March 25 and 26th at 2pm, tickets are $5 for students and staff, $8 for the general audience.

 

If you would like a yearbook at the end of the school year, you will need to purchase it through TreeRing.com. Our school code is: 1013806569074266.  Yearbooks must be purchased by April 12th in order to receive it at school. Yearbooks will not be available to purchase on campus. Check with Mrs. Crowe if you aren't sure if you purchased one or not.

 

ASB ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Spring Fling Dance is Friday in the quad from 6 to 9PM. The theme is Cherry Blossom Bash. Permission slips are now available in Mrs. Crowe’s and Mrs. Lujano’s office. Tomorrow is the last day to turn in your permission slip and buy your ticket. Tickets are $5. This dance has no grade requirements. ONLY CCNTH students are able to attend!

 

Are you interested in joining ASB next year? If so, please pick up an application in Mrs. Lujano's office. A completed application is required in order for you to be considered for enrollment in the course for next year. Applications are due to Mrs. Greco by April 7th at 3pm. If you are currently in ASB, a completed application is still required. Executive Board applications will be available in class by the end of the week.

 

CAREER CENTER & LIBRARY NEWS

Do you excel in mathematics? Have you taken Integrated Mat III? Trig-Star is a competition that recognizes and rewards high school students who excel in mathematics, particularly Trigonometry. New Tech will be offering a Trig-Star test on Thursday, April 6th during 4th period. See Mrs. O or the post in ECHO for more information or to sign up!

 

Seniors! We have many scholarships available to you with deadlines coming up fast! See Mrs. O in the Career Center or visit the scholarship opportunities document in the Virtual Career Center.

 

CLUBS & CLASSES

BStronglife Club meets today in room 900. All are welcome!

 

Come join the Garden Club today at lunch in the native garden between room 908 and 909! Find out about the club and help us restore our garden!! All are welcome!

 

Alternate History Club meets today after school in Mrs. Doan’s classroom, room 909. All are welcome!

 

SENIORS

Do you have questions about Hancock College? The Hancock rep will be in the Career Center today. Drop in to ask about your application, orientation, financial aid, and more! 

 

Don’t forget to turn in your permission slip to sell the Sylvester’s Burgers cards. Permission slips must be turned into Mr. Dotinga in exchange for the cards to sell.  See Mr. Dotinga if you have questions.

 

April 7th is the last day to purchase your Grad Night Tickets. The cost is $150.00.  Please see Mrs. Lujano to purchase your ticket.


COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

Need community service hours? THIS Saturday, March 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  there will be a Clean-up of Cesar Chavez Park with the Nipomo Native Garden.  RSVP required as Me-N-Ed's pizza will be providing lunch. See the Virtual Career Center for more information.

 

The Nipomo Recreation Association is having its annual Kids Day in the Park on Saturday April 1st. They will need help between 9am and 3pm. For more information or to sign up to get community service hours, check out the post in ECHO, the Community Service flyer in the Virtual Career center, or Mrs. O in the Career Center. 

 

CalTrans is hosting a CLEAN CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY DAYS FAMILY FUN FESTIVAL on Saturday, March 25th at the beach at the end of Grand Avenue in Grover Beach. They are looking for volunteers to help with the  morning beach clean-up, set up/break down, sign in tables, art tables, games, photo area, etc. Please see Mrs. Crowe to get additional information.
